Q: How much car insurance do I really need?
A: As much as you can afford to buy! The most important coverage you can buy to protect your family is uninsured (UM)/underinsured (UIM) coverage. It protects you and your family in case someone without insurance (or with very little insurance) hits and injures you or a family member.
You will be surprised at how little it costs to increase your policy limits to even $1 million.
We have written a report about UM/UIM coverage that is in the Library of our website.

I was in an accident, and my airbags deployed. I have a few bruises but otherwise feel okay. Should I still go to a doctor?
I was recently in a car accident. I haven't been to the doctor, but I'm beginning to feel sore and stiff. Should I go to the doctor now even though it's been several days since the accident?
