A: WAIT! The other driver’s insurance company wants to talk to you before you talk to a lawyer so it can get you to make statements that it can later use against you. The person who calls likely will ask you to give a recorded telephone statement. We always advise people not to talk to the other driver’s insurance company until after you talk to a lawyer.
