PEOPLE WE KNOW WHO GIVE EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE
We deal with health care providers and other professionals all the time, so we are especially well informed to recommend the best of them to others. When we find people who are extraordinary, we like to tell others about them. Here I talk about the physical therapist who treats each of her patients as individuals, not using the same cookie-cutter approach for everyone with neck pain.
Physical Therapist
Our clients who have been seriously injured are often referred to physical therapists, so we have worked with many in the metropolitan area. I can say, however, that Laura Probert at Bodyworks Physical Therapy in Rockville, Maryland is about the best I have encountered. What makes Laura extraordinary? She calls herself "Your Healing and Recovery Coach," and she lives up to the title.
She has varied manual therapy (i.e., hands-on skills) training and uses a holistic/whole-body approach to treating her patients. She doesn't try to fit the patient into a preconceived formula of what's best for the patient. She listens to the patient to find out how the patient has been feeling, she does a preliminary assessment, and then she creates a plan that is suited specifically for the patient.
Many traditional therapists do not invest the continuing education time/money on the types of manual skills that she has. Even patients she has treated for some time will find that she has thought of them when she was in a new education program and learned something she thinks might help her patients. Also, her exercise programs are different -- very specific and not traditional.
Laura Probert truly gives exceptional service to her patients.
