ED WEINER NAMED 2009 LEADER IN THE LAW BY VIRGINIA LAWYERS WEEKLY

Virginia Lawyers Weekly annually chooses a class of lawyers it calls Leaders in the Law. Recipients of the award are chosen from among nominations by clients, community leaders, colleagues and others who know of the leadership qualities of the lawyers. Virginia Lawyers Weekly announced the Class of 2009 in the “Leaders in the Law” program in August.

The project seeks to recognize lawyers who set the standard for other lawyers – by changing practice, serving the community, changing the law or improving Virginia’s justice system.

This year, Edward L. Weiner, Weiner, Rohrstaff & Spivey PLC, Fairfax, was chosen for his service to the Fairfax Law Foundation, including fundraising through the annual Jazz 4 Justice Concert and annual Law Day Weiner Roast.

The honorees will be feted at a reception Oct. 22 at the Bolling-Haxall House in downtown Richmond.
